A Little About Us......
Our founders began with an idea and a dream. After 10 years of volunteer work for their local Historic Preservation Commission, our Chairman decided to finally begin the process of creating his own Non-Profit 501c3 organization. Using the experience gained from the previous 10 years, Nicholas was able to successfully develop the plans and begin the process creating Guardians of the Past in 2018. Seeing a need for assistance among local historically based groups, Nicholas created a Board of Directors who shared the same passions for helping the community, preserving history, fundraising, networking, and sharing strong family values in the process. Our organization is a resource for anyone who has interest in history, needs assistance with funding for projects, needs volunteers or just wants to stay informed. Why We Help......
Our Board Members and Volunteers feel local history is as important as world history. Unfortunately, more times than not, local history fails to get the public attention it deserves. Over time, buildings with historical ties often grow neglected as financial funding becomes harder to sustain, and we risk losing them to time and deterioration. Here at Guardians of the Past, we network organizations, raise awareness, assist with funding if possible, aid with restoration projects and do all we can to help keep history alive and fun! We believe together we can preserve history for future generations and have fun doing it!
